KEEPING MIAMI BEACH SAFE
Miami Beach is a beautiful place, and whether you’ve lived in Florida all of your life or are a new resident, we all want what’s best for the city. It’s a haven for unique culture, art, eclectic shops and restaurants. These should be for all to enjoy without fear or turmoil, but unfortunately, crime rates have increased in recent days--with little being done to stop it. SOBESafe is a volunteer organization comprised of local residents of Miami Beach, and we’re here to help put an end to recurrent criminal behavior. Safety and security are our prime concerns for the residents of the city, and we feel that the efforts of our law enforcement agencies, as well as our Mayor, are severely lacking. More needs to be done. If you too are concerned about the safety and civility of our lovely city, join the cause to give Miami Beach a brighter tomorrow.

MISSION
STATEMENT
Our mission is to focus the united will of Miami Beach residents on convincing elected officials and policing authorities to restore a safe and civil environment in our streets and parks. To bring together residents from all neighborhoods with the knowledge that violence and bad behavior doesn’t respect neighborhood boundaries. To back the mayor’s effort to remodel Ocean Drive and surrounding areas from an “anything goes party zone” to a cultural destination.

The SOBESafe Petition is a direct summation of our overall Mission Statement, and we hope you’ll consider signing.
We, Miami Beach residents, urge the Mayor and Commissioners to deploy additional police resources to South Beach to combat increasing violence in our community.
We also urge both the Miami Beach Code Compliance Department and Police Department to more strictly enforce existing ordinances and regulations throughout South Beach.
We bring forth this petition with a positive outlook, with the hope that Miami Beach can improve its action against crime, and with the determination to never stop fighting for the homes we adore so much. Join the SOBESafe Petition for a safer future.
